Frequently Asked Questions

How do I track overtime?
Enter regular hours (up to 8 per day or 40 per week) in the Regular row and any hours beyond that in the Overtime row. OT is calculated at 1.5x the base hourly rate. Some jurisdictions require daily overtime (after 8 hours) while others use weekly (after 40 hours) -- check your local labor laws.
Can I save multiple time cards?
Yes -- each time card is saved separately. Use the list view to browse all saved cards by employee and week. You can create one card per employee per week, or track the same employee across multiple weeks. All data is stored in your browser's local storage.
How do I export for payroll?
Click "Export all as CSV" to download a spreadsheet-compatible file with all saved time cards. The CSV includes daily regular and overtime hours, totals, rates, and gross pay for each card. Import directly into QuickBooks, ADP, Gusto, or your payroll system.
What trades are available?
The dropdown includes Carpenter, Electrician, Plumber, Laborer, Operator, Iron Worker, Mason, Painter, Roofer, HVAC, and Other. Select "Other" for any trade not listed -- the trade field is for your records and does not affect pay calculations.
