What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data including page views, session duration, and approximate geographic location. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

Newsletter signup

When you subscribe to the Buildermuse newsletter, we collect your email address and any topic or frequency preferences you select. This data is used only to send the newsletter you requested and is stored in our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Contractor directory submissions

When you submit a contractor listing via our submission form, we collect: business name, contact name, email address, phone number, business address, trade type, service area, and any logo or image you upload. This data is used to populate and maintain your directory listing on Buildermuse.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser to identify unique sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Data processors

We use the following third-party services that process data on our behalf:

• Netlify — hosts this site and processes form submissions (newsletter and contractor forms). Netlify stores form submission data on our behalf.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC) — processes anonymized usage data as described above.

No other tracking scripts, ad networks, or data brokers are used on this site.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not participate in affiliate programs and do not earn commissions on products or services mentioned in our reporting.

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of your data — including newsletter subscriptions, contractor listing information, or any form submissions — email privacy@buildermuse.com with your name and a description of the data you'd like removed. We will process requests within 30 days.

We may update this policy as our data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
