Common questions
How do featured placements work?
Your business appears in a clearly labelled "Featured" section above the organic listings on the state and trade pages you select. The placement includes your logo, tagline, phone number and website link.
How many featured slots are there per page?
A maximum of two per trade and state combination, rotating so both advertisers get top position. We cap it deliberately — a page stacked with paid cards is worth less to you and less to the contractors who read it.
Does paying change my position in the organic listings?
No. Organic listings are ranked by rating and review volume from Google, and advertising does not affect that ranking in any way. A featured placement adds a labelled slot above them; it never reorders, hides, or removes an organic result — including your competitors.
Do I get a Verified badge?
Not for paying. Verification is earned by claiming your profile and confirming you control the business, and it is free. We do not sell it, because a verification anyone can buy tells a reader nothing.
How do I get listed?
Use the Plan a Campaign form on our advertise page, or email advertising@buildermuse.com with your business name, target states and trades, phone and website. We confirm availability and send an invoice within one business day.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. The founding rate is locked for 12 months and you can cancel any time with 30 days notice.
